Flying Fezzes

MINUTES OF MEETING

A regular meeting of the Bahia Shrine Flying Fezz was held at the Bahia Shrine Center, November 4, 2009 at 1930 hours. Commander Jack Holian presiding, Minutes recorded by Secretary Barney Hunsinger.

Ed Henderson offered the invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Birthdays: Tony Begley, Jim Friis and Obie Young.

Sick; Charlie Snapp is improving from his illness.

The Commander welcomed the following past Commanders: Bill Vickers, Dick Wyatt, Ed Henderson and Jack Holian.

Secretary Report: A motion was approved to dispense with the reading of the minutes because minutes were mailed or e-mailed to all the members.

A letter was read that members should attend a meeting Monday November 9th in the Bahia Center Dining room concerning the East West Shrine Game which will be held in Orlando on January 23rd 2010. This is a very important meeting so plan to attend.

Treasurer reported the treasury was in good condition and all bills paid.

The Flying Fezz Unit election was held and the following 2010 Officers are : Commander John Holian, Vice Commander William Vickers, Secretary Bernard Hunsinger, Treasurer, Bernard Hunsinger.

The following are the Chairman of Committees, Bob Sheppard Chairman Paper Crusade Committee, Dick Wyatt Chairman of the Circus Committee, William Vickers Chairman Condo Committee.

Vice Commanders Report: Nothing at this time.

Committee reports: Bill Vickers Unit Room D no report at this time.

We will be having the Unit Christmas Part on December 11th 2009. We will be collecting a donation of $10.00 from the members to be donated to a needy family. If any one knows anyone in need please report their name to the Commander, Vice Commander or Secretary, Also we need to know how many will be attending so we can plan for the food. The dinner will be Roast Beef with all the trimmings.

Good of the Order: We need to make arrangement to prepare for the circus next year so we can take pictures and keep up with the visitors to the airplanes. This is an Excellent PR for The Bahia Shrine and the Flying Fezz.

Ed Henderson reported that the Casselberry Masonic Lodge Building will be rebuilt on the old site. They expect it to be completed next year.
