FLYING FEZZES

The first thing I think about is

support for the new Commander.

He will have a hard time bringing in new members and making decisions that will affect the Unit now and in the future. We will all need to support him in every way possible so we can increase our membership. This will help Bahia, the Childrens Hospital and Flying Fezz.

The Installation of Officers was a great success. Commander Jack Holian, Vice Commander Bill Vickers and Secretary, Treasurer Barney Hunsinger were installed for the year 2008. Commander Holian discussed some things he would like to due this year that sounded very interesting. They will be addressed at the Units regular meeting.

Commander Holian’s Lady Bootsie had open heart surgery and is progressing very well. We all must keep her in our prayers. She is a very hard working Lady and can help Commander Holian this year.

The Unit must thank Charles Snapp Past Commander and Founder of the Flying Fezz. He informed the Unit of some of the early days of the Flying Fezz and their activities. He also presented some of the early original records of the Flying Fezz. He also explained how the logo for the Flying Fezz originated. Fred Guentert made the logo which is used to this date for the Flying Fezz. Thank you Fred Guentert for the design of the logo.

We welcome anyone interested in aviation to come visit us at our meeting.

We meet in unit room D at 7:30pm the first Wednesday of the month. You don’t need to be a pilot just interested in aviation and have some fun with the Flying Fezz Unit
